Stories, songs, simple crafts, and FUN all around a central theme. All ages welcome, no charge. Led by the library lady herself, Deb Chamberlin!

Summer Reading Program

Every Saturday – late July through early August
10 – 11 am

Come to the Library for our Summer Reading Program! In the summer, in place of Saturday stories, we do two months of weekly read aloud, crafts, and activities. Each summer is a different theme, as provided by the Department of Libraries.

2018’s theme is Libraries Rock! and runs from July 14th through August 11th. Click here for a full list of events.

Adult Programming

Adult Programming is generally aimed at ages 13 and up, not because we’re dealing with cussing or naughtiness, but because there’s not enough for adults to do in this town and we want to change that.

Tabletop Gaming Night

Anytime between 4 and 7 pm

Newcomers and experienced veterans welcome. Bring your friends or come alone–either way, we will make sure you can play something.

There will be snacks and beverages provided. The librarian on duty will be available to teach rules and settle scoring disputes.

(Due to a scheduling conflict, the October Game Night will be on 10/9, NOT 10/2.)

Board Game Geek – the Wikipedia of tabletop games, written by and for fans. Beware newcomers, for there is a LOT of text and jargon thrown out on the main page.

SU&SD Reviews – a couple of Brits who play a lot of games, and create elaborate video and text reviews for them. There are also some tutorials, some gameplay videos, and, oddly, some recipes?

Geek & Sundry’s Table Top – a YouTube show where very entertaining people (actors, comedians, internet personalities, etc) play board games on camera. A great, entertaining way to learn about new games and see how the gameplay works.

Geek & Sundry’s How To Play – is exactly what it sounds like. Sick of wading through written directions? Scroll through this playlist and see if you can find a video version of your game’s handbook.
