Catherine Goldsmith – Lead Librarian

Catherine comes to Monkton after nine years in Starksboro as library director. She lives in Hinesburg and is the mother of three mostly grown children. Passionate about lifelong learning, Catherine has a BA in History and a Masters of Library Science.

Kat Cyr, assistant librarian, has worked off and on at the RML library since elementary school. An avid reader of “genre fiction” like sci-fi, fantasy, and horror; she is happy to recommend her favorite reads. Kat’s day job is in inter-library loan at the Davis Family Library in MIddlebury. When not in a library, she can be found walking her dog, reading, and participating in most fiber crafts. Read more about her favorite books:.HERE

Julie McGowan, After most of our life in the Midwest, my husband and I moved to Vermont in 2023. Prior to leaving the Midwest I worked at a local elementary school. Our two grown children stayed behind. I am a dog mom, a mentor with the Mt Abe school district , volunteer and an art hobbiest. I have always enjoyed reading, meeting new people and learning new things

The Library Board of Trustees meets the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
