Please join Russ Baker (a long-time Monkton resident) for a presentation on Alces Alces (The largest member of the deer family, Moose).
Thursday, February 19th
7:00 pm
Monkton Town Hall Community Room
Russ has spent over thirty years searching for naturally shed moose antlers in the deep woods of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. This has allowed him a unique perspective on the habits and characteristics of these magnificent animals.
His presentation “Moose, the circle of life” covers the life cycle of moose in northeastern New England. Along with a slide show depicting the moose in their natural habitat, he also includes other interesting facts and pictures of the flora and fauna of our great northeast.
He will have many hands-on exhibits of items he discovered wandering around in the deep woods. Including many moose sheds in different sizes and shapes.
Please join us at the Monkton Town Hall Community Room on Thursday, February 19th at 7:00 pm. The presentation will be about 45 minutes, with plenty of time allowed for questions and examining all exhibits.
